System requirements

  • macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later, Apple Silicon or Intel.
  • Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit.
  • An Android device running Android 5 or later.
  • USB cable to connect the device (most data cables work).

One-time Android setup

  1. Enable Developer Options. Open Settings → About phone and tap "Build number" seven times.
  2. Enable USB debugging. Then go to Settings → System → Developer Options and turn on USB debugging.
  3. Plug in your device and accept the "Allow USB debugging" prompt the first time you connect.
  4. Open TabDesk. Your device shows up in the sidebar within a couple of seconds.

Bundled tools

TabDesk includes everything it needs to run: adb and scrcpy-server are bundled inside the app. You do not need to install Android Studio or scrcpy separately.

Linux?

Linux builds are not yet in the official release channel. If you want one, open an issue on the releases repository and we will prioritize an AppImage build.
